There was a shooting around 3pm et Friday afternoon just outside the Courthouse in Athens GA. A woman and her son were reported arguing in thier car in the parking lot. She reportedly told police that her son was mental and she wanted him commited.
Details are still coming in but the man shot an officer in the knee shortly after arriving on scene. He was rushed to a local hospital.
Police used a taser to control the suspect, and took him to jail.
