A TORNADO OUTBREAK is expected today across the ohio vally, mid south, and parts of the southeast today including north GA. The Storm Prediction Center has just placed portions of Northwest GA, including the cities of Rome, Calhoun, under a Moderate Risk for Tornadoes mainly this Friday night from 8pm till midnight. There is a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms and isolated Tornadoes elsewhere across north GA this Friday night and Saturday morning mainly from 10pm till 4am. I think the greatest risk for any tornadic activity tonight will be north of a I-20 line. However, one cannot be ruled out just south of that line going into the overnight hours, including downtown Atlanta. We MUST be weather aware today! Now although we were under a risk for severe weather the other day and nothing happen, this system moving into the state tonight will be much stronger than the last and there will be true cold air behind it. So much so as there is a slight chance for SNOW late Sunday night in the extream NE GA Mnts! Highs will be in the 70s today. Mid to upper 70s in some spots, but lows will be in the 30s by Monday morning! So as we go from t-shirt back to winter coats again, the war of the airmass’ will begin and we may be caught in the middle!

For live video continuing severe weather coverage, join us tonight LIVE at 8pm et on for continuing coverage of severe weather all night long untill the threat passes.

PREPARE NOW for a TORNADO! Have your plan of action ready before the storm hits your area! Know where you will go, let others know where you will be tonight, have your cell phone on you at all times, have shoes ready to put on so you wont walk on glass or debri outside after the storm hits and there is any damage. Have your wallet or purse on hand, protect vital records. Have a safe room ready, such as  a basement. This will be a GREAT night to spend the night in the basement! Have all these things ready, just in case.
