I know you don’t want to hear this right now and it’s still a week away but there is a chance of more strong to severe thunderstorms across Atlanta and North GA next Friday. Looking at the latest computer models today, there will be another system headed this way late in the week next week on or about Friday night. Temps will be in the 70s before the front and cold air may rush in again behind the front. Needless to say we will have a week to dry out and clean up but it really looks like this is going to be one of the most active tornado seasons on record for the US and GA.
Yesterday, we seen around 94 tornadoes alone in the US. In the whole month of March the US usally see’s around 85 tornadoes. This is the begining of tornado season and we have a long way to go and already breaking records. Stay tuned!
