Jumbo Jet off runway @ Atlanta Airport

A Jumbo Jet Airplane ran off one of 5 runways this morning at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. No one was injured, but it took most of the morning for crews to lift the plane back onto the runway. The plane suffered major damage. A spokesperson for the FAA told WSBTV in Atlanta that a maintenance person was moving the plane down a taxiway at the airport when it ran off the taxiway. Delta says the planes engine was being tested, when the brakes failed on the plane. No flights were delayed as a result of this incident.
