WEATHER ALERT- #SEVERE #WEATHER still possible #Thursday in #GA . #gawx #wx #Atlanta

(CHANNEL 1 ATLANTA) [ATLANTA, GA.] [UPDATED: Wednesday, 4/4/2012 @ 6:40 am et
There is still a chance it seems that some, if not eventually all, of Georgia will see Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening. Right now, the computer models continue to paint differnt pictures for the area. Alot will have to come together tommorow at the right time for us to see damaging thunderstorms, especially here in North Georgia.

{MAIN THREATS}
*DAMAGING WINDS UP TO 60 MPH
*GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL OR LARGER
*CAN”T COMPLETLY RULE OUT A TORNADO WITH SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS

{SLIGHT RISK}
The Storm Prediction Center has place, for now, portions of the southwest Atlanta suburbs into west and southwest Georgia in a “Slight Risk” for Severe Thunderstorms on Thursday. I think the best time for any severe here in the metro area will be from 2pm to 10pm.
The further north and east of the Atlanta area, chances lessen however thunderstorms will be all over the southeast tommorow and all over Georgia for that matter.

{PREDICTIONS}
This morning, it looks as if “predicted” on-going convection Thursday morning along the Gulf coast may “cut-off” the gulf here and may limit Severe for the north. However, this this storm system has already been hard to forecast. Yesterday, there was only a slight chance for a Tornado in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and we all seen what happen there! This is a very complex storm system, but i think we may have more activity than is being forecast by the Storm Prediction Center and The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City, GA. if convection dies out along the gulf by late morning and we get “peaks” of sun in any given spot of North Georgia tommorow afternoon. Forecast now is for only upper 70s Thursday due to clouds and rain in and around any storms.

{COMPLETE LIVE TEAM COVERAGE+ STORM CHASERS!}
Please stay with us. As alway’s we will continue to monitor this developing weather event and will have updates here and on Twitter and of course we will be ready to “GO LIVE” tommorow afternoon & evening if any watchs and or warnings are issued for North & Central GA. and if it’s really bad in Southwest GA, we may cover that too, if nothing is happening here. A reminder we now provide Live Video of Storm chasers across GA, and America, during Live Storm coverage.
