[UPDATED: MONDAY JULY 30TH 2012 @ 9:52 PM ET]
There is a “Slight Risk” for Severe Thunderstorms across much of Georgia Tuesday. The main threat will be Damaging Winds, but Large Hail is also possible along with heavy downpours that could lead to very local street flash flooding.
DAMAGING WINDS : 80%
LARGE HAIL : 50%
FLASH FLOODING : 20%
TORNADO : 02%
The best time to see Severe Weather Tuesday in your area will be around 5AM in Rome and North GA, around 8-9 AM in Atlanta/Athens areas, around Noon in Columbus, Macon, and late afternoon for south GA. A new area of thunderstorms may develop around 4pm Tuesday afternoon in North GA/ Atlanta and we will have to watch these as well but i think the main event for Atlanta will be in the morning.
